Splunk Engineer

As a Senior Splunk Engineer, you’ll already be on your way to being an expert in your field. You’ll also be a leader of people and advocate for user-centred design approaches. Your client will provide exciting opportunities to share your expertise with, and influence, clients and team members, all the while supporting your efforts to continue developing as a Leader in your respective field.

The role in a nutshell:
• Act as a technical SME across the Splunk platform
• Mentor and coach junior members of the team through knowledge transfer and upskilling
• Develop solutions based on our clients needs or enhance existing solutions which add real value
• Deploy, integrate, and support critical solutions in complex environments
• Engage regularly with internal/external stakeholders
• Collaborate with the wider Engineering & Data community to provide insight and awareness into latest industry trends and standards

Skills and experience that you need:
• Experience and expertise across the Splunk platform, its architecture and distributed components including premium apps (ITSI, Enterprise Security, Phantom, etc…)
• Experience onboarding cloud data to Splunk
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience with data streaming technologies such as Cribl advantageous
• Experience of Agile methodologies and associated toolsets
• Coding experience using languages such as Python and/or Bash
• Experience working with CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and other automation tools
