Technical Support Technician - Roackaway, NJ - $50000 - $70000 pa + uncapped overtime
My client, who is market-leading MSP, is looking for an Infrastructure Support / Network Technician to join a growing technology services organization supporting enterprise clients across the financial services sector. You'll work across IT support, networking, servers, and physical infrastructure, with plenty of hands-on exposure in data-centre and client environments. It's a great opportunity for a technically curious IT professional to broaden their skill set and work with enterprise technologies including Cisco, Arista, and HPE.
What you'll do:
Provide L1/L2 support across Windows, Microsoft 365, hardware, software, and connectivity
Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, switches, networking equipment, and physical infrastructure
Carry out hands-on data-centre work, including racking, stacking, hardware replacements, and cabling
Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity and network infrastructure issues
Support infrastructure deployments, upgrades, and maintenance
Work alongside senior engineers on larger infrastructure projects and client environments
Maintain accurate technical documentation and follow established processes
What you'll bring:
Experience in IT support, infrastructure, networking, or a related technical environment
A solid understanding of networking fundamentals and LAN/WAN concepts
Exposure to Windows, Microsoft 365, servers, switches, or enterprise hardware
Experience with Cisco, Arista, HPE, or similar technologies is a plus
Comfort working hands-on with physical equipment, cabling, and data-centre infrastructure
A proactive, adaptable approach and genuine interest in learning new technologies
Ability to stay calm under pressure, troubleshoot logically, and work well as part of a technical team
