L1–L3 IT Support Technician – Onsite
Location
New Jersey, with work split between the company’s main office and multiple client sites across the area.
Fully onsite role — no remote/WFH option.
Candidates should ideally live within approximately 45 minutes of the main office.
About the Role
An established Managed Service Provider (MSP) is expanding its technical team following the launch of a significant new project.

They are looking to hire multiple L1–L3 IT Technicians, with further opportunities expected as the project develops.

You’ll work across both the MSP’s own environment and client sites, supporting predominantly large enterprise organisations within the financial services sector.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, troubleshooting, working with physical infrastructure, and developing their technical skill set.

Key Responsibilities
Provide L1/L2 technical support and troubleshooting.
Diagnose and resolve Windows and Microsoft 365 issues.
Support enterprise IT environments and infrastructure.
Perform hands-on server and networking work.
Rack and stack servers and network equipment.
Install, manage and troubleshoot physical cabling.
Work with enterprise networking equipment and infrastructure.
Assist with datacentre operations and maintenance.
Troubleshoot across a broad range of networking technologies.
Escalate more complex issues appropriately while working collaboratively with the wider technical team.
Provide support in high-pressure environments where reliability and responsiveness are important.
Desired Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience with:

L1/L2 IT support and troubleshooting.
Windows and Microsoft 365.
Physical server infrastructure.
Enterprise networking environments.
Datacentre environments.
Networking technologies across multiple vendors.
Hands-on infrastructure work, including racking/stacking and cable management.
Cisco, Arista, HPE or similar enterprise hardware.
Experience with specific vendors is less important than having broad, transferable networking and infrastructure knowledge.

What We're Looking For
The technical skills are important, but attitude is equally valuable.

We're particularly interested in candidates who are:

Trainable and willing to learn.
Comfortable picking up new technologies and environments.
Able to work as part of a team.
Comfortable working under pressure.
Hands-on and willing to get involved with physical infrastructure.
Broad technically rather than narrowly specialised in one technology or vendor.
Strong communicators who can work effectively with colleagues and clients.
Candidates who are heavily siloed into one particular technology or vendor may not be the best fit.

Compensation
$25–$35 per hour, depending on experience, with uncapped overtime available.

Working Environment
This is a 100% onsite position, working from the main office and/or client locations depending on project requirements.

There is no regular work-from-home option.

Interview Process
The process is designed to be straightforward:

One-stage interview, ideally conducted onsite, where you'll meet members of the technical leadership team and wider engineering team.

A video interview can be accommodated where necessary, but onsite interviews are preferred.
