About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Cloud/Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in AWS to design, build, and optimize secure, high-performing cloud environments.
In this role, you’ll take the lead in architecting and managing AWS infrastructure that aligns with business goals - ensuring every system is resilient, cost-efficient, and scalable. You’ll collaborate closely with development and DevOps teams to deliver cloud solutions that power real results.
Work Schedule: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite per week)
Location: Cambridge, MA
Key Responsibilities
AWS Architecture: Design and implement secure, scalable AWS environments covering compute, storage, and networking.
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform): Automate provisioning, scaling, and management of cloud infrastructure.
Security & Compliance: Enforce AWS security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Cost Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize AWS usage to drive efficiency and cost savings.
Disaster Recovery & High Availability: Architect and test DR and HA strategies to ensure maximum uptime.
Monitoring & Performance: Deploy monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to maintain infrastructure health.
Collaboration: Partner with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure needs.
Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain up-to-date documentation and champion best practices across the team.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience: 3+ years in IT infrastructure, including 2+ years working hands-on with AWS.
AWS Expertise: Deep understanding of core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.); AWS certification a plus.
Terraform: Proven experience building and automating with Terraform.
Security & Networking: Strong grasp of AWS networking, VPNs, subnets, and security group configurations.
Cost Management: Track record of optimizing cloud environments for cost and performance.
CI/CD & DevOps: Familiarity with pipelines, automation, and DevOps principles.
Communication: Clear communicator with the ability to bridge technical and business discussions.
