Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the organization’s IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, reliability, and security of servers, applications, and core systems while supporting business objectives and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux server environments.
Manage system performance, availability, and capacity planning.
Administer virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
Oversee storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
Implement and maintain system security controls in compliance with organizational standards.
Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate new technologies and solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate system documentation, procedures, and best practices.
Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, etc.).
Hands-on experience with virtualization, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), and Active Directory.
Familiarity with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
Experience with monitoring and performance tuning tools.
Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, VMware, AWS Certified SysOps, or equivalent) preferred.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
