Associate Director – AI Solutions & Automation
A senior leadership opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director – AI Solutions & Automation to join a global technology consultancy delivering advanced AI, automation and enterprise IT solutions.
This role will act as the Deputy to the Director, providing both strategic and technical leadership while helping shape the future direction of the AI solutions practice. The successful candidate will take ownership of a growing global team and play a key role in delivering complex client engagements across multiple international markets.
The position is designed as a succession role, with the Associate Director expected to assume increasing leadership responsibility over the next two years.
The Role
The Associate Director will lead the design, delivery and evolution of AI-driven enterprise solutions, bridging business strategy with cutting-edge technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
Acting as the Deputy to the Director, supporting the strategic direction of the AI solutions function
Leading the design and implementation of AI-driven IT operations, automation and orchestration platforms
Delivering solutions across AIops, ITOM, ITSM and ITIL environments
Overseeing integration of Agentic AI and intelligent automation across enterprise infrastructure
Managing and developing a global team of approximately 40 consultants and operational specialists
Supporting international solution delivery across Europe, the Middle East and the United States
Acting as a senior client advisor, presenting technical concepts to C-level stakeholders
Representing the organisation at industry conferences, webcasts and media engagements
Driving adoption of emerging technologies and assessing their impact on enterprise operations
Supporting strategic partnerships with major technology vendors and platform providers
Identifying opportunities for automation, optimisation and digital transformation across complex IT environments
The role combines technical leadership, strategic direction and client-facing engagement at a global level.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a highly experienced technology leader with both deep technical knowledge and strong commercial consulting experience
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
Background within banking, financial services or telecommunications
Experience delivering international technology programmes
Strong understanding of financial language, ROI models and enterprise transformation
Career progression across multiple roles such as:
Software development
Technical consulting
Presales / solution architecture
Strategy or leadership roles
Approximately 10+ years development experience and 5+ years in consulting
Deep understanding of AI, data platforms and automation technologies
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders
Strong presentation and communication skills for client meetings and industry events
Experience working with or alongside major enterprise technology partners
A professional presence suitable for international client engagement
Candidates must also demonstrate strong leadership capability, including the ability to manage complex teams and influence stakeholders across multiple regions.
Technical Environment
Experience across some of the following technologies is advantageous:
AIops and enterprise automation frameworks
Workflow orchestration platforms (Airflow, Argo, Prefect)
Configuration and automation tools (Ansible, Salt, Puppet)
ITSM and ITOM platforms
Event-driven automation and runbook-as-code approaches
Messaging technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ
