Linux System Administrator

An opportunity to join a leading tech company in the field of cybersecurity has risen for a passionate Linux Engineer/SysAdmin to the team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing improvements to the Linux infrastructure, both on-premises and in the cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for the maintenance and enhancement of our Linux Infrastructure.
• Devise and implement innovative solutions to continually improve our Linux infrastructure.
• Work collaboratively with the development team to manage their Linux server and lab environments.
• Demonstrate a security-first mindset and promote best practices throughout the organisation.
• Participate actively in cross-functional meetings, providing insights and suggestions.

Requirements:

• Proficient in Linux operating systems, specifically Ubuntu
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure such as AWS and GCP
• Experience with virtualisation and containerisation technologies such as KVM, VMware, and Docker
• Familiarity with deployment tools, particularly Ansible
• Strong knowledge and experience in writing scripts using Python and/or Bash
• Familiarity with automation tools including Terraform
• Experience with monitoring tools including Nagios, Prometheus, and Solarwinds
