Infrastructure Automation Engineer

We are currently working with a leading financial services firm who are currently embarking on a technical transformation to improve IT operations and software development functions through the adoption of infrastructure automation. They are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Automation Engineer to working closely alongside the CTO to lead this 4 year plan.

Responsibilities:
• The successful Infrastructure Automation Engineer will be responsible for implementation and operation of infrastructure automation (infrastructure as code principles),
• Work closely with internal teams to help deliver the transformation programme (DevOps)
• Cooperate with the software development and application support teams to bring information security (DevSecOps), resiliency and supportability early in the software development lifecycle.
• Maintain the integrity and availability of the production and pre-production environments.
• Collaborate closely with software developers and application support team.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines to support the continued improvements

Technical Experience:
• Strong DevOps and automation experience (they use Ansible, Jenkins and Docker).
• Experience across both Windows and Linux
• Passion for scripting and coding (Python, PowerShell or Bash)
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure)
• Interest in information security
