Desktop and Infrastructure Support Engineer
We are currently seeking a Desktop and Infrastructure Support Engineer to provide desktop support and infrastructure support to around 150 users within a hedge fund in Mayfair, London. Working within a fast-paced financial environment, the successful Desktop and Infrastructure Support Engineer will have strong technical and communication skills. The key technical areas required include:
·Good understanding of O365 and MS Office suites
·Desktop Win7-10 and OS deployment technologies
·Windows Server 2008-2016
·AD, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, SQL, FTP and Exchange
·Network TCP/IP, Switching/Routing, VLANS and Firewalls.
·Familiarity with Virtualisation technologies – Hyper-V/VMware
This role is within a small team, allowing a broad range of exposure to both support and project work. The key responsibilities include:
·To maintain internal systems and support users
·Assist in planning maintenance and upgrade of systems
·Identify issues with root cause analysis
·Managing and maintaining all aspects of Servers, Desktops, Mobile devices, Telecoms, Network, Storage and Security
